Apache on Mac OS-X 10 (Yosemite)

Apache is preinstalled on OS-X 10, but the “Web sharing” control panel that used to be in older versions of the OX is not there any more. As usual, it is in /private/etc/apache2.

Configuration file is /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf

Web home is /Library/WebServer/Documents

To start it, you must sudo:

sudo apachectl start

The version is pretty new:

apachectl -V

Server version: Apache/2.4.9 (Unix)

Server built:   Sep  9 2014 14:48:20
